The front grille has been enlarged, with five horizontal slats and the top panel gets a chrome strip with piano black finish. The side profile also gets a new configuration and a new alloy wheel design, with a diamond cut pattern on the higher variants.
At the rear, the Dzire gets square shaped tail-lights that use “3D Trinity LED elements”. The bootlid and bumper design is also similar to the older model, but the lower part of the bumper gets a new configuration.
Interiors and features of the new Dzire
The interiors of the new Dzire have a design similar to the Swift hatchback, but with multiple colours and textures. The seats get beige colour upholstery, while the dashboard gets dark brown, faux wood and silver trims. It gets a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro Plus infotainment system that comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Apart from this, the new Dzire also features cruise control, rear AC vents, rear centre armrest and 360-degree camera. Its higher variants also include a factory-fitted single-pane sunroof for the first time, which is a first for the car in this segment.
Engine and specifications of the new Dzire
The new Dzire is powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine that produces 82hp and 112Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT option. In the CNG variant, this engine produces 69.75hp and 101.8Nm of torque.
Safety of the new Dzire
The new Dzire has received a 5-star rating by GNCAP, making it a safe option. It comes with safety features like six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, ISOFIX mounts, and three-point seat belts.
Conclusion
The new Maruti Dzire comes as a great package that includes stunning design, great features, and safe build.
